The Junior Sailing Committee has been hard at work preparing for another exciting summer for your children. Mark your calendars for important dates this season! With our new ability to get information to you by email, stay tuned for updates sent directly to the mail box you provided to the club. We will be posting a parent handbook on the club website by early March. Registration for Junior Programs is on Thursday, March 27, 2008. This is a good chance to meet members of the committee and key summer staff. Mike Benchimol will be back again this season as Head Sailing Instructor. Christine Sautkulis is returning as the Head Junior Activities and Guppy Program Counselor.
Some changes to the registration procedure this year include the medical waiver and emergency contact information form. Those will need to be completed online for your registration to be considered complete. The form is available on the Junior Sailing Association website at the following link
http://www.jsalis.org/login.html. Please take the time to do this before registration so that if you have questions or concerns we can answer them for you that night. This process is for any child in Junior Programs including Activities, Recreational, and Racing. Guppies and children in any a la carte programs should use the club Waiver Agreement.
Take a look at the new Optimist Trailer which will make transport to regattas a breeze. We are also getting new sails and parts for the beginner boats in our club fleet.
