The Junior Summer Program is an eight-week, full day program, Monday through Friday, for children between the ages of eight and twelve. The programs primary activities include sailing, tennis, and swim instruction, swim team practice and a variety of additional outdoor and indoor activities.
The age requirement for the children is determined by the recommendations given by the Junior Sailing Association. All children must be eight years old by December 31, of the current calendar year, in addition to being able to meet the requirements for the swimming ability required by the sailing program.
The Port Washington Yacht Club offers a fun filled summer program to our children. Over the past years we have seen the children enjoy the program's activities as well as the friendships that have been made which helps unify the club's members. This program has grown in numbers and activities and we look forward to offering another summer of fun to the children of the Port Washington Yacht Club.
